The journal "Metal and Casting of Ukraine" uses Double-Blind Peer Review:
- the reviewer does not know the personal information of the author / authors;
- the author / authors do not know the personal data of the reviewer
The review procedure passes all articles submitted to the editorial board. The task of reviewing is to facilitate the strict selection of author's manuscripts for publication and to make specific recommendations for their improvement. The review procedure is focused on the most objective assessment of the content of a scientific article, determining its compliance with the requirements of the journal and involves a comprehensive analysis of its advantages and disadvantages. Only those articles that are of value from a scientific point of view and contribute to the solution of actual problems and tasks are accepted for publication. The level of compliance with the rules for preparing an article for publication in a scientific journal is separately monitored (see Requirements for the design of articles).
The main purpose of the review procedure is to eliminate cases of poor-quality research practices, as well as to ensure that the interests of authors, readers, the editorial board, reviewers, and the institution in which the research was conducted are harmonized and observed.
Manuscripts are reviewed confidentially. By submitting the manuscript to the editors of the journal, the authors entrust the editors with the results of their scientific work and creative efforts, on which their reputation and career may depend. Disclosing the privacy of reviewing a manuscript violates the rights of the author. The editors do not provide information regarding the manuscript (including information about its receipt, content, review process, criticism of the reviewers and the final conclusion) to anyone except the authors and reviewers themselves. Violation of confidentiality is possible only in the case of a statement of inaccuracy or falsification of materials, in all other cases, its preservation is mandatory.
Responsibility for copyright infringement and failure to comply with existing standards in the article rests with the author of the article. The author and the reviewer are responsible for the accuracy of the facts and data presented, the validity of the conclusions and recommendations made, as well as the scientific and practical level of the article.
