Summary:

The main components of the converter process, affecting the cost of steel are analyzed. The problem of optimizing BOF melting began to be solved almost since the development of this process. The paper applied iterative method for solving linear programming problems. Studies were conductedin NTU «Kiev Polytechnic Institute».
